Profile – Kaori Nejihashi

Kaori Nejihashi is an attorney licensed in Japan and New York, based in Nagoya.
She has extensive experience handling international legal matters for both corporate and individual clients.
She is fluent in English and accustomed to working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

After graduating from the University of Tokyo (LL.B.), she began her career in 2000 at a Tokyo law firm affiliated with a San Francisco–based U.S. firm, where she was involved in cross-border corporate transactions and dispute resolution. Later, as a Fulbright Scholar, she studied in the United States and earned her LL.M. from Harvard Law School.

Upon returning to Nagoya, she expanded her practice to cover not only business law but also family law matters, such as international divorce and inheritance.

Since 2019, she has served as an outside director and advisory board member for several listed and pre-IPO companies, providing corporate governance and compliance advice.

She is also active within the Japanese legal community, serving as a member of the International Relations Committee of the Aichi Bar Association. She is also a member of the Lawyers Network for Foreigners and the Japan Association of Arbitrators.
